In the 1952 yearbook the club is described as "a professional organization of and for those students who are interested in parliamentary procedure and the political field. This non-social organization chooses its members with discretion, with emphasis upon character, ability to speak, and other personal characteristics. The members are primarily pre-law students; however, students majoring in other fields are eligible for membership providing the requirements are met."
