Patented and improved in 1897, the Victorian pleater tool was used by a seamstress to form a pleats in a variety of widths. Simply lay the cloth across the metal tool, use the metal 'pusher' to press the fabric into the desired slits. After stitching along he edge of the fabric just pull the material out to find perfect pleats.
