Stephen Blount Tucker Sr. was born on September 1, 1897 in San Augustine County. Tucker moved to Nacogdoches in 1900 with his family and went to medical school and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1922. He returned to Nacogdoches in 1925 to practice medicine and organized the Tucker Clinic the same year with family members. He held several positions in different organizations in Nacogdoches such as Nacogdoches Saddle Club Honorary Life President, President of the Nacogdoches County Fair, Stephen F. Austin Team Football Physician, Director of East Texas Boy Scouts, and City Health Officer. |

Stephen Blount Tucker Sr. adopted Lucile Sharp Tucker's son Fred F. Tucker III once married. |
