The
Rough
Green
Snake
is
a
slender
snake
that
can
be
distinguished
from the
similar
Smooth
Green
Snake
by the
presence
of
keeled
scales
.
Most
Rough
Green
Snakes
are
found
crawling
through
grass
or
small
brush
overlooking
a
water
source
.
It
is
a
non-venomous
colubrid
snake
whose
bright
green
color
offers
excellent
camouflage
in
healthy
vegetation
.
It
often
allows
humans
to
approach
and
seldom
bites
.
