The

Turtle
inhabits
slow-moving
rivers
,
ponds
, and
marshes
. They
rarely
leave
the
water
,
except
to
bask
in the
sunlight
.
Snapping
turtles
will
eat
almost
anything
they
come
across
,
including
animal
remains
,
fish
,
birds
,
small
mammals
,
amphibians
, and
aquatic
plants
.
Snapping
turtles
have a
mean
bite
,
so
it's
best
to
stay
away
from them in
order
to
avoid
injury
.
