The
Texas
Longnose
Snake
gets
its
name
from its
elongated
snout
which
it
uses
for
burrowing
.
Longnose
Snakes
feed
on
lizards
and
amphibians
and
occassionally
rodents
and
other
snakes
. They are
nocturnal
snakes
and are
usually
seen
on the
crawl
at
night
hunting
for
food
. This
snake
ranges
from
southern
Kansas
and
Colorado
south
through
Oklahoma
,
New
Mexico
, and
Texas
and
down
into
northern
Mexico
.
