The

Spotted
Whiptail
is
found
in a
few
counties
in
extreme
southern
Texas
and
along
the
border
of these
counties
in
Mexico
. The
Texas
Spotted
Whiptail
is
native
to a
very
arid
region
so
it
tends
to
stay
somewhere
near
a
permanent
or
other
reliable
water
source
. The
habitat
of this
lizard
varies
from
mesquite
scrub
to
arid
grassland
to
rocky
terrains
.
Whiptails
are
diurnal
and
very
active
lizards
.
