The
Spring
Peeper
is
usually
seen
during
its
breeding
season
in
shrubby
or
wooded
areas
with
abundant
moisture
. These
frogs
vary
greatly
in
coloration
but
can
generally
be
relied
upon
to
sport
a
cross
or "
X
"
upon
thier
dorsal
side
. The
Northern
Spring
Peeper
is
different
from the
Southern
Spring
Peeper
in that
it
lacks
dark
blotches
on its
belly
.
