The
Eastern
Collared
Lizard
is
often
seen
sunning
on
rocks
throughout
semi-arid
to
arid
regions
of the
southwestern
United
States
. The
diet
of
Eastern
Collared
Lizards
consists
mostly
of
insects
and
spiders
, but
larger
individuals
have also been
known
to
prey
upon
small
lizards
and
snakes
.
When
threatened
, this
lizard
will
quickly
flee
for
cover
,
often
times
running
upright
on its
hind
legs
.
