Red-Eared
Sliders
are
extremely
common
all
over
the
world
thanks
to
pet
trade
, but in the
wild
they are
native
to
warmer
parts
of the
southern
United
States
.
Red-eared
Sliders
are
omnivores
and will
readily
eat
a
wide
variety
of
plant
and
animals
materials
,
including
tadpoles
,
insects
,
snails
,
aquatic
plants
, and
carrion
. These
turtles
are
semi-aquatic
and
prefer
to
live
in
areas
where
the
water
is
calm
and
where
there are
plenty
of
objects
to
bask
on.
