The
Green
Tree
Frog
is
the
state
amphibian
of
Georgia
and
Louisiana
.
It
is
commonly
kept
as a
pet
because
of its
relative
abundance
and
ease
of
care
. The
color
of a
Green
Tree
Frog
can
vary
from
bright
green
to
dark
olive
to
pale
yellow
.
Unlike
most
frogs
,
it
prefers
to
walk
rather
than
jump
,
clinging
to
objects
with its
distinctly
large
toepads
.
Green
Tree
Frogs
are
often
seen
on
windows
near
porch
lights
,
where
they
forage
for
flying
insects
.
