The
Gulf
Crayfish
snake
is
a
subspecies
of
aquatic
Glossy
Crayfish
Snakes
that
exhibit
two
rows
of
half-moon
spots
down
the
ventral
side
of the
body
that
merge
into a
single
row
down
the
tail
. As
suggested
by their
name
, these
snakes
feed
primarily
on
crayfish
, but will also
feed
on
salmanders
,
frogs
, and
small
fishes
. The
Gulf
Crayfish
Snake
is
found
in
swampy
areas
within
the
Atlantic
Coastal
Plain
.
