The metal shield shaped medallion is engraved "J.H. Summers Nacogdoches, Texas." The medal is embellished with a decorative row of stars and is designed with a hole to hang it from a chain.
The square metal medallion contains the Masonic emblem and is engraved "V. E. Middlebrook, 2.11.04." The reverse side of the medal is engraved "Nacogdoches, Tex." A hole in the top corner allows it to hang diagonally.
Two silver chains with decorative oval medallions at each end are attached to a third medallion to form a closure for the neckline of a garment, such as a woman's chemise.
