Made of a white silicate mineral, this meerschaum pipe is shaped like the bust of a bearded man wearing a helmet and laurel, with an iron cross emblem at his neck. The pipe has an amber shaft and is accompanied by a brown case.
The square metal medallion contains the Masonic emblem and is engraved "V. E. Middlebrook, 2.11.04." The reverse side of the medal is engraved "Nacogdoches, Tex." A hole in the top corner allows it to hang diagonally.
