Light brown wooden eyeglass frames are painted light brown and joined by a thin metal arched wire. Serations are cut into the each side of the nose piece. The glasses can be stored in the accompanying tooled leather case.
A carved wood boar's head pipe with a yellow shaft has an accompanying dark case lined with satin and velvet. "Mechailles d'or 1878, 1889 and 1900" is printed on the interior of the case.
