This fencing is flat ribbon wire with two-point lance point-applied barb. It is a variation of the Brinkerhoff Winged Saber Point, patent number 214,095, April 8, 1879, by Jacob Brinkerhoff, Auburn, New York.
This sword has a wooden handle, and the blade has a slight curve with a broken tip. The handle has three curved metal pieces to protect the knuckles. This weapon belonged to Don Antonio Gil Y'Barbo of Nacogdoches, Texas.
The scabbard of this dark metal sword is encircled by two metal bands. The weapon has a black handle, and three curved metal lines form the hand guard.
