According to their website the SFA Mast Arboretum is a ten acre garden along LaNana creek at Stephen F. Austin State University. In 1985, as a class project, Dr. Dave Creech’s first Landscape Plant Materials class planted a small garden on the south side of the Agriculture building. Over the years, the gardens expanded into one of the most diverse collection of plants in the South. The Mast Arboretum, which is part of the Department of Agriculture at SFASU, is dedicated to acquiring, testing, introducing and promoting new plants for the landscape and nursery industry in the southern USA. This collection features photographs of specimens grown in the arboretum.
