THE SYLVANS CLUB "Knothole" Volume II Number 2 October 5, 1969 The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Sylvans club will be next Monday, October 6th, in the Tejas room of the University Center. The dues are $3.00 per semestor or $5.00 per year, if paid now. Club patches can be purchased for 80 cents and decals are on sale for 25 cents - be sure to pick yours up soon. A program is scheduled immediately following the Oct. 6th meeting and everyone is urged to attend this important and informative meeting. The Sylvans Club Cabin is open to any Sylvan member and his (or her) guest at any time. Keys to the gate may be obtained from Brian Avery, room 143, Unit 3 ; Malcom McKee, Weisley 312 ; Bill Sandeen, room 82, Unit 2 ; or Mike Bintliff, room 4, Unit 1. The only requirements are that you do not use firearms and that you keep the place clean. Recently I received a note concerning future publication of the Knothole, with no name, only three initials and a room number at the Varsity. While making a mailing list for the Knothole I found that there was no Forestry major with those initials. This aroused my curiosity and I checked the room at the Varsity. There is no such room at the Varsity. Since the letter is apparently written by a ficticous person I see no reason to publish it or answer it. If someone cares to write an article for publication in the Knothole please sign your name. Larry Behrens. The S.F.A. Soccer team is now organizing and needs players. You do not have to know how to play soccer to join as sameone will help you learn. Practice is every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 PM and Saturday afternoons, behind the football field.
