The April 15 meeting of the Sylvans Club will be a short business meeting. Pictures for the Tally will be taken immediately following the program which will be a speaker from a Houston Plywood Industry. Do not forget that the club pictures for the Annual will be taken at 7:30 in the Starling Ballroom. April 9.
Plans for the Spring Banquet are not in high gear! The banquet will be held in the Starlight Ballroom of the College Center, Saturday April 19 at 7.30. We are having wrapped sirloin and it should be well worth the $2.50. The original cost was going to be $2.00 but the College Center has tacked on an extra 20 cents charge per plate and the price had to go up. Tickets will be on sale by April 8, and can be obtained by any club officer, Mr. Yee, or Terry Western. It is essential that the tickets be sold beforehand so we know how many plates to order. Deadline for payment will be Friday, April 18.
Those going to Conclave should meet at the Forestry Lab, Thursday, April 10, at 7.30 and plan on leaving at 8.00. Please pack light and bring a bedroll. Good luck to our contestants!
“Many of you may remember the article by Felix Revillo in the “Knothole” recently. He talked of the Health and Physical Education as being more interested in brawn than brains in creating a safety hazard near the forestry buildings. Felix mentioned the possibility of someone becoming a human pin-cushion. On March 21, it finally occurred.
