Creator Sketch	"The Sylvans Club was organized in 1946 by the students in the School of Forestry. The purpose of the club is to promote fellowship among the students and to increase their knowledge by sponsoring programs which feature speakers well versed in the many phases of forestry. The Sylvans sponsor an Annual Forestry Field Day, hunting and fishing trips, a Christmas Dinner-Dance, and a team for the Association of Southern Forestry Clubs Conclave where they participate in contests displaying professional skills. The club sponsors the Sylvans Scholarship. Membership is open to students of forestry." (From SFA General Bulletin 1968-69)
