Description	Construction on the Men's Dormitory (now known as Wisely Hall) started on July 29, 1935 by A.M. Campbell & Company of Tyler. It was the first residence hall built on the campus and funded with Public Works Administration funds. The first floor housed the Dean's rooms and offices, a postoffice, a reception room, and several residence rooms. The ground floor housed a public cafeteria and dining room as well as a kitchen, laundry room, storage rooms, and a recreational room. The top floor was for residents' rooms. Each room had twin beds, separate closets, a shower between rooms, dressing stands, and high-boys. All floors had two telephones, two water fountains, a linen chute, an electric clock, and a buzzer that leads to the main office. In 1948 with the construction of a new mens dormitory on campus, this building was bestowed the named Wisely Hall in honor of J. H. Wisley who served as the College's Business Manager and head of the Department of Commerce at the time of his death on May 25, 1945. Today, Wisely Hall is the only honors residence hall on campus.
