TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (House meets at noon) Sua~enaiona -- Three bills are scheduled for consideration under suspension of the rules (page 9), includinq H.R. 4656, El Salvador Certification, which is identical to the legislation President Reagan vetoed in November. That legislation makes continued u.s. aid to El Salvador contingent upon the President certifying that the Salvadoran government has met certain conditions, including progress towards curbing violations of human rights. Beco~d-Yotea -- Record votes ordered Monday will be taken today. WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8 & 9 (House meets at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and 11 a.m. on Thursday) C.alencar._Wecneaca~ -- The House may consider bills brought up · under the Calendar Wednesday rule. A DSG Supplement will be available if additional bills are considered under this procedure. Biographical Note | Congressman Charles Wilson began his political career in 1960 when he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives. He served in the Texas House of Representatives for six years and was then elected to the Texas Senate in 1966. On November 7, 1972, the second district of Texas elected Charles Wilson to the U.S. House of Representatives. He retired from the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. |
