Record Votes -- Record votes ordered today on bills considered under suspension of the rules will be taken on Tuesday. Export Controls -- H.R. 3231, Export Administration Act Amendments, complete consideration (page 10). There will be a key vote on an amendment to prohibit new investments by u.s. firms in South Africa. Domestic=Content -- General debate only on H.R. 1234, Fair Practices in Automotive Products Act (page 19). A DSG Fact Sheet will be available prior to consideration of amendments to the bill. Biographical Note | Congressman Charles Wilson began his political career in 1960 when he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives. He served in the Texas House of Representatives for six years and was then elected to the Texas Senate in 1966. On November 7, 1972, the second district of Texas elected Charles Wilson to the U.S. House of Representatives. He retired from the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. |
