CONLON - Executive Director * * * * * * SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 13, 1982 MONDAY, DECEMBER 13 (House meets at noon) Suspensions -- Twenty-four bills are scheduled for consideration under suspension of the rules (page 1) • TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14 (House meets at noon) Continuing Appropriations (including JobB~grams~o Congressional P~ -- H.J.Res.631, Continuing Appropriations for FY 1983. is expected to be considered (page 21). In addition to providing continuing appropriations for those activities not covered by enacted regular appropriations bills, the resolution provides for a $5.4 BILLION emergency jobs package (see page 23). In the area of congressional pay. the resolution does not contain a pay cap, in order to let the House work its will on this matter, but it does incorporate into law -- and thereby extend to the Senate -- the current House 30% limit on honoraria and other outside earned income (see page 29). WEDNESDAY & BALANCE OF THE WEEK, DECEMBER 15, 16, & 17 (House meets at 10 a.m. each day) Domestic Coni£n~ -- The House will complete consideration of H.R. 5133. Fair Practices in Automotive Products Act (page 33). See DSG Fact Sheet No. 97-34, December 8. Immigration R.ef.QLJll -- H.R. 6514, Immigration Reform Act. is scheduled for Floor action (page 38). A DSG Fact Sheet will be available prior to Floor consideration. Housing and Development -- H.R. 6296, Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act. will be considered (page 43). Adjournm~ -- The House is scheduled to adjourn ~ die at the end of the week. The 98th Congress will convene on Monday. January 3. 1983. * * *

Biographical Note | Congressman Charles Wilson began his political career in 1960 when he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives. He served in the Texas House of Representatives for six years and was then elected to the Texas Senate in 1966. On November 7, 1972, the second district of Texas elected Charles Wilson to the U.S. House of Representatives. He retired from the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. |
