SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 14, 1982
SPECIAL NOTE: There will be two votes this week
on matters affecting Members' income. First, '
there will be a separate vote on a provision
in the Urgent Supplemental Appropriations
Conference Report which limits outside earned.
income for Members of both the House and Senate.
Second, the Temporary Debt Limit Increase bill
contains a provision which permits Members of
Congress, beginning in 1983, to claim unlimited
substantiated tax deductions for their Washington
living expenses.
MONDAY, JUNE 14 (House meets at noon)
Syspensions -- Seven bills are scheduled for consideration
under suspension of the rules (page 1).
Record Votes -- Record votes ordered today will be postponed
until Tuesday.
TUESDAY, JUNE 15 (House meets at noon)
Record Votes -- Record votes ordered Monday will be taken
today.
Protection of Diplomats -- H.R. 6254, Protection of Foreign
Missions, will be considered (page 7) •
WEDNESDAY & BALANCE OF THE WEEK, JUNE 16, 17 & 18
(House meets at 10 a.m. each day)
Supplemental Appropriations -- The conference report on
H.R. 5922, Urgent Supplemental Appropriations for FY 1982,
is scheduled for Floor action (page 9). The conference
agre.ement would impose a l i mit on outside earned income
of MeITIbers o·f bo.th the House and Sena te equal to 30% of
their congressional salaries.

| Biographical Note | Congressman Charles Wilson began his political career in 1960 when he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives. He served in the Texas House of Representatives for six years and was then elected to the Texas Senate in 1966. On November 7, 1972, the second district of Texas elected Charles Wilson to the U.S. House of Representatives. He retired from the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. |
