If a record vote is requested on the rule, it will be postponed until Wednesday. See DSG Fact Sheet No. 97-10. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 (House meets at noon) Record Votes -- Record votes ordered today will be postponed until Thursday. Suspensions -- Five bills are scheduled for consideration under suspension of the rules (pages 5 - 9). WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 (House meets at 10 a.m.) Voting Rights -- H.R. 3112, Voting Rights Act Extension, will be brought up for general debate only (see page 1). Continuing Funds -- The conference report on H.J.Res. 325, Continuing Appropriations will be acted on. A DSG Supplement will be available prior to Floor consideration. THURSDAY & FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1 & 2 (House meets at 10 a.m.) * Record Votes be taken. Record votes postponed from Tuesday will * * * * Labor-HHS Funds -- H.R. 4560, Labor-HHS-Education and Related Agencies Appropriations for FY 1982, will be considered (page 11). Voting Rights -- Complete consideration of H.R. 3112. Agriculture Act -- H. R. 3606, Agriculture and Food Act of of 1981, is scheduled for House consideration. A DSG Fact Sheet will be available prior to Floor action. JFK Center -- H. R. 3377, Authorizations for the Non-Performing Arts Functions for the Kennedy Center, is also scheduled. Biographical Note | Congressman Charles Wilson began his political career in 1960 when he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives. He served in the Texas House of Representatives for six years and was then elected to the Texas Senate in 1966. On November 7, 1972, the second district of Texas elected Charles Wilson to the U.S. House of Representatives. He retired from the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. |
