SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 23, 1980
MONDAY, JUNE 23 (House meet at noon)
Record Votes -- Record votes ordered today will be postponed
until Tuesday.
Suspensions -- Four bills are scheduled for consideration under
suspension of the rules (pages 1 - 5).
Youth Act -- The House will complete general debate only on
H.R. 6711, Youth Act (page 5). See DSG Fact Sheet No. 96-39 ;
June 16.
TUESDAY, JUNE 24 (House meets at noon)
Record Votes -- Record votes ordered Monday will be taken.
Soft Drink Competition -- H.R. 3567, Soft Drink Interbrand
Competition Act, is scheduled for consideration under suspension
of the rules (page 15).
State-Justice Funds -- H.R. 7584, State-Justice Appropriations,
also will be considered this week (page 18).
Energy-Water Funds -- H.R. 7590, Energy and Water Appropriations,
also will be considered this week (page 23).
Draft Registration -- A motion will be made to concur in the
Senate amendment to H.J.Res. 521, Draft Registration Appropriations,
thereby clearing the measure for the President (page 27).
Youth Act -- Complete consideration of H.R. 6711 (see page 5).
Foreign Service -- H.R. 6790, Foreign Service Act, is listed
on this week's schedule. If the bill is actually considered, a
DSG Supplement will be available prior to Floor consideration.
DOE National Security -- H.R. 7265, DOE National Security
Authorization, may be considered this week. A DSG Supplement
will be available prior to Floor consideration.
NSF Authorization -- H.R. 7115, NSF Authorization, also may be
considered this weeke A DSG Supplement will be available prior
to Floor consideration.

| Biographical Note | Congressman Charles Wilson began his political career in 1960 when he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives. He served in the Texas House of Representatives for six years and was then elected to the Texas Senate in 1966. On November 7, 1972, the second district of Texas elected Charles Wilson to the U.S. House of Representatives. He retired from the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. |
