Suspensions -- Twelve bills are scheduled for consideration under suspension of the rules (pages 1 - 15). WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, & FRIDAY, JUNE 4, 5, & 6 (House meets at noon Wed. and 10 a.m. Thurs. & Fri.) Record Votes -- Record votes postponed from Tuesday will be taken. Public Debt Limit/Oil Import Fee -- H.R. 7428, Extending the Public Debt Limit, will be considered (page 17). A key vote is expected on disapproving the Administration's proposed oil import fee. Foreign Aid -- H.R. 6942, International Security and Development Cooperation Act of 1980, is scheduled for further consideration (page 18). See DSG Fact Sheet 96-37, May 23. Fair Housing -- H.R. 5200, Fair Housing Amendments, is also scheduled for consideration (page 27). Antitrust Awards -- H.R. 4048, Awards of Prejudgment Interest in Antitrust Litigation, may be considered. A DSG Supplement will be available if the bill is brought up. Banking Insurance -- H.R. 2255, Insurance Activities of Bank Holding Companies, is listed on the schedule. A DSG Supplement will be available if the bill is brought up. * * *

Biographical Note | Congressman Charles Wilson began his political career in 1960 when he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives. He served in the Texas House of Representatives for six years and was then elected to the Texas Senate in 1966. On November 7, 1972, the second district of Texas elected Charles Wilson to the U.S. House of Representatives. He retired from the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996. |
